About Time to Play

Time to play is a registered charity. We support children and families in Malvern and the surrounding area to play their way to positive mental health and well-being. Services are available to all those living within 5 miles of Belle Vue Island in the centre of Great Malvern.

Play is how a child discovers the world, connects with others and becomes the person that they are meant to be. It is the right of every child. We will work with you to make sure you can access a service that is right for your child, your family or the children that you work with.

1 in 5 children suffer from a probable mental health disorder (NHS, England, 2023). Children and adults living in households in the lowest 20% income bracket in Great Britain are two to three times more likely to develop mental health problems than those in the highest (Mental Health Foundation, 2010). Time to play aims to alleviate these problems within the local community to give children the support they need now, and the chance of a better future, by bringing therapeutic services to those who need it most. We offer fee paying and charity funded places to ensure that all families can access the support that they need.
